Cost-Saving Features:

  • More Control Means Lowered Costs and More Profits.  Using a POS system gives you far more understanding and control over your numbers, and significantly prevents employee theft: one of the main issues restaurant owners deal with.  Using DINEPOS, along with a few important administrative controls (like a policy that no food or drinks are made without a ticket produced from DINEPOS), will cause all aspects of your operations to come under the measurable control of DINEPOS.  Your Z and Closing Reports will tell you precisely where your sales are, what your tenders (cash, credit cards, gift cards, etc.) are, how much cash you should have, and what your cash drop (positive or negative) is with each of your serve staff at the end of a shift.  This is very difficult to do with paper checks and a cash register system, and many restaurants experience theft losses of hundreds of dollars per month and more.  If that is or has been a problem for you, DINEPOS will more than pay for itself every month.

  • Simple Inventory Tracking and Ordering Link.  DINEPOS has a simple Menu Count tracking system to track any or all of your items' inventories.  In addition, coming in the Spring of 2009, DINEPOS will let you create an inventory listing for items you purchase from SYSCO (and soon other vendors as well), view your pars, then input order amounts and click a button to actually place the order with SYSCO.  Once placed, your order will be recorded in DINEPOS and ready for receipt and check-in to the inventory or menu counts portion of DINEPOS.  This feature alone can save the person who does your food ordering several hours per week – which could be enough to pay for DINEPOS by itself. In addition, just tracking your higher-dollar food product counts has proven to save 3-5% in food costs per month.  That can be hundreds of dollars or more back in your pocket.

  • Online Reservations.  As a subscriber to DINEPOS, you will also have access to DININGRES.com (also coming Spring 09), a feature that will allow your current and potential guests to make reservations at your restaurant via the internet.  We will even host a one-page web site for you so that your guests will have a place to find you on the internet if you don’t already have one (the hosting part of the service will require a small additional cost/month).  You will have control over how many reservations to accept on given days and at given times.  And when an online reservation is made, it is automatically entered into your Reservations List within DINEPOS.  This feature is not only unique to DINEPOS, but also saves time for you and your employees who take phone reservations.
